The Truth About Cellphone Directory
Many people have wondered and still continue to wonder if a reverse cellphone directory really is there. Well the truth is that it is not there.
The reason why there is not a revised cellphone directory is because of the differences in information. The home or land telephone has a domain that is public and this has been the way for many years. This is why your permission is never sought for placing your number in a phone book or telephone directory in fact you may have to pay a certain fee in order to keep your number out of the telephone directory.
With a cellphone directory it is different and more private such that a cellphone is charged for all calls made even to marketers and it is quite difficult to track down a cellphone.
The wireless cellphone directory has been spoken about before with the thought and idea for all mobile phone operators to contribute all their subscriber cellphone numbers and then a cellphone directory would be created, but there were concerns raised over the issue of telemarketers being able to call you and you getting charged for that. Also certain privacy issues were raised and that led to the idea being abandoned for the time being.
However the abandonment of the cellphone directory does not mean that the whole idea is impossible to put together, it really can be put together and be done although putting up all this requires a lot of effort. There is too much effort required for this as the information on cellphone subscribers has to be put together manually from millions of users from all different networks. Now because of the time, cost and amount of work to be done so much there is not a company that is prepared to do it and offer it freely. In addition mobile phone directory companies do have access to the whole database of the information.

3G Cellphones
LG 3G Cellphone Watch
Features:
Include Bluetooth compatibility, voice dialling, a speakerphone, speech recognition, TTS (Text to Speech), and an MP3 player. It is also waterproof, for those of you who can’t keep your cellular devices out of your hands while in the shower.
The GD910 is one of the first 3G watch phones, supporting 7.2 Mbps HSDPA wireless data connection with a secondary video camera for video calls. With the helps of the touch UI, user input can be done through the watch phone’s touch screen. It can also do speech recognition for input via voice. Detail specification is not available except a 13.9mm body thickness, LG will be first launching the watch mobile phone in Europe with an unknown schedule.
LG has done away with the old-school “calculator watch” button style in favor of just one small (1.43 inch) touch-screen with three buttons on the side. That’s good and bad. On one hand, the entire watch is fairly svelte (13.99 mm thin), so it doesn’t feel like you’re strapping a brick to your wrist. But now you have to deal with a tiny touch-screen, which could be a serious problem.
iPhones 3G
The phone is available in 16GB and 32GB and in colors black and white. It will be available by June 19, 2009 with a price of $199 for the 16GB and $299 for the 32GB.
The iPhone 3G S doesn’t make the same grand leap that the iPhone 3G made from the first-generation model, but the latest Apple handset is still a compelling upgrade for some users. The iPhone 3G S is faster and we appreciate the new features and extended battery life, but call quality and 3G reception still need improvement.
Upgrades include a faster HSDPA connection of up to 7.2Mbps, voice control, 3MP camera with video recording and a digital compass..
The good:
The iPhone 3GS finally adds common cell phone features like multimedia messaging, video recording, and voice dialing. It runs faster; its promised battery life is longer; and the multimedia quality continues to shine.
The bad:
The iPhone 3GS’ call quality shows no improvements and the 3G signal reception remains uneven. We still don’t get Flash Lite, USB transfer and storage, or multitasking.

Stop a Prank caller Dead In their Tracks With A reverse Cellphone Number Lookup
What I like best about cell phones is how simple it is to screen calls. Anyone who’s number is already in my yellow pages comes up with their name and I am able to decide if i want to take the call. The issues start though when you get calls from someone who’s number isn’t known. Recently I’ve had a series of crank calls where someone kept calling and just hanging up. While its more of a bother than a worry for me, if it was my other half or son that were getting these sorts of calls I might be extraordinarily annoyed indeed.
I decided to do a bit of research into this and it was then that I learned about a new service called a reverse cellphone number lookup. It turns out that traditionally, crank callers and nuisance callers have chosen to use mobile phones because they are harder to trace. Until just recently there haven’t been any readily accessible directories which had good recent information about cellphone numbers. The excellent news is though that thanks to the Net, which has now changed.
A reverse telephone number service is an internet site where you simply enter the cellphone number you are attempting to trace and within a few seconds the owners info gets sent back to you. These services are extraordinarily costly to set up and maintain so it has to be said the best ones are the ones that charge a tiny fee for the search. At least this way you can be sure of quality info.
I found a service that allowed me to do a search for only $10, and inside five minutes I had approached the crank callers cellphone company with their name, address and dates and times of calls.
They investigated the problem and I haven’t had any more calls since, so I’m only able to assume that the details I supplied them with were enough to trace the person down and cut off their service. All thanks to a reverse cellphone number lookup service.
